Don't give Geranium a bad name!

There have been some new reports of late regarding Geranium in supplements and energy drinks that at first glance might appear to be negatively reporting on the effects of geranium.  However, if you dig a little deeper it appears that these reports are actually reporting on a chemical substance called DMAA, not on the plant/oil itself.

Read these articles to get a better picture of the real issue: DMAA and Geranium in energy supplements?
and then check out the linked article from a site that shows the AHPA (American Herbal Products Association) thoughts on the chemical sited in a Chinese Study that supposedly ties the DPMM to geranium here: DMAA not natural to geranium.

So, after reviewing a number of articles floating around today, my interpretation is: Don't worry about your geranium essential oil-keep using it!  And keep reading and educating yourself!  More to follow if more information arises that seems legitimate.  Feel free to share your thoughts and interpretations.
